The Portuguese National Festival of Robotics

main goal is to promote science and 

technology among youngsters of all cycle

of studies, investigators, teachers and

the general public, though autonomous 

robot competitions.

Annually featured along different cities in

Portugal, the event also includes

an international scientific meeting in

the field of Mobile Robotics technically

co-sponsored by the IEEE and

sponsored by the IEEE Robotics and

Automation Society (RAS), through its

Portuguese Chapter. Here, international investigators in all

fields of Robotics and Automation can present their recent

investigation results.

Sponsored by the Portuguese Society of Robotics, this 

event as an growing number of

teams and participants, of all

ages. This 13th edition of the

festival will be organized, for the 

firs time, by an non superior 

education institution, the Escola

Secundária de D. Dinis, Lisboa.

The scientific meeting will be held

at Instituto Superior de Engenharia

de Lisboa, an universitary 

​institution near by. 



There will be held the following competitions: Middle Size Soccer League - Infaimon Cup​; Autonomous Drive​; FreeBots​; Robot@Factory​; RoboCup Junior Dance​; RoboCup Junior Soccer​; RoboCup Junior Rescue

The 13th International Conference on Autonomous Robot Systems and Competitions is an international scientific meeting in the field of Mobile Robotics technically co-sponsored by the IEEE and sponsored by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), through its Portuguese Chapter.

It will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, from 24 to 28 of April 2013, in conjunction with the 13th Portuguese Robotics Open, a RoboCup Local Event with several other associated competitions. Its scope encompasses, but is not limited to, the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Education.

The 13th International Conference on Autonomous Robot Systems and Competitions will take place at ISEL Campus while the Robocup event will take place in the premises of Secundary School D. Dinis just a walking distance from ISEL Campus.

The conference proceedings will be indexed in IEEExplore and the conference has also already confirmed for these 13th edition a Special Issue of selected extended papers in the Journal of Intelligent & Robotic Systems from Springer, indexed by Thomson ISI Web of Knowledge (IF=0.83).
